Christian Leuprecht is Professor of Political Science at the Royal Military College of Canada and a Senior Fellow with the Macdonald-Laurier Institute. He is cross-appointed to the Department of Political Studies and the School of Policy Studies at Queen’s University where he is also a fellow of the Institute of Intergovernmental Relations and the Queen’s Centre for International and Defence Policy.
Leuprecht has distinguished himself with a stellar track record of highly original research and timely media commentary on a range of issues, including anti-terrorism, national security and international affairs.
He is the author of the 2014 MLI paper “The Blue Line Or The Bottom Line of Police Services in Canada: Arresting runaway costs”. He is also the co-author, with Todd Hataley, of “Organized Crime Beyond The Border”, an entry in the National Security Strategy for Canada Series.
Leuprecht is regularly called upon to testify before committees of Parliament, a frequent commentator in the media on national security and international affairs. He appears regularly on CBC, CTV, and Global, and his editorials have appeared in the Globe and Mail, the Toronto Star, and Sun newspaper syndication.
