Premature Canada/US border speculation…MLI in Hill Times
MLI Managing Director Brian Lee Crowley takes a look at the rampant and premature speculation on the Canada/US perimeter border discussions in his monthly column in the Hill Times (subscription) today. Crowley gets to the heart of the problem by asking the big ticket public policy question: “What is sovereignty for?” And then in his usual logical style setting out the context to answer: “It is certainly not to repose in splendid isolation. Nor is it an end in itself. It is a means to more important goals.”
Read the why Brian thinks “…such negotiation is not just sensible for Canada—it is imperative.”
