Purdy Crawford named Honorary Chief of the Membertou First Nation
Purdy Crawford, a member of MLI’s Advisory Council, received this special honour last week from Chief Terrance Paul of the Membertou First Nation. Congratulations!
Cape Breton University friend Dr. Purdy Crawford was honoured during part of special convocation held at Membertou Trade & Convention Centre, Thursday, June 24, 2010.
Following the convocation honouring Chief Terrance Paul, which was held in conjunction with Membertou 400 celebrations, Chief Paul paid tribute to his friend and fellow Canadian leader, Purdy Crawford, naming him an Honorary Chief of the Membertou First Nation. This honour is a rare occurrence.
