MLI will host its Annual Gala Dinner at the Canadian War Museum on Feb. 13, 2018, featuring a lively discussion about the long-standing friendship between Canada and the United States. Tickets are on sale. Get yours now!
Under the broader theme of the “The Future of Canada-US Relations,” we will explore how the two nations will work together under the Trump and Trudeau governments. The timing for this event could not be better, with NAFTA negotiations, security concerns and diplomatic issues in the headlines.
We have secured former Canadian ambassador to the US Frank McKenna to moderate the panel discussion. Trade and NAFTA will be key topics of course, but we will hear about defence, immigration, and other bilateral issues as well.
MLI’s gala dinners, held every February in the Ottawa region, are a “must-attend” entry on Ottawa social calendars and one of the premier networking events of the winter season. Past speakers include: former interim Liberal leader Bob Rae, Postmedia columnist Andrew Coyne, historians Michael Bliss, Charlotte Gray and Patrice Dutil, First Nations leader Mark Dockstator, and former Premier of BC and federal cabinet minister Ujjal Dosanjh.
They’ve also attracted Ottawa's leading parliamentarians, public servants, policy makers, journalists, entrepreneurs and political insiders.
