According to MLI Managing Director Brian Lee Crowley, "Philip Cross's long and distinguished career as an independent and thoughtful analyst and interpreter of the Canadian economy adds a whole new dimension to MLI. We always aim to improve the quality of public policy by marshalling the very best research and data in the service of the national interest of Canadians, and there can be few people better qualified to perform this role in the economic field than Philip Cross. He is also a gifted writer, making complex issues and dry data come alive for non-specialist audiences. We are all delighted to welcome Philip to the Institute."
